Hill Song Church Part II
I know that I have been wrapped up in school so much, that I haven’t been making time for church which is exactly what I didn’t want to happen. So, I decided yesterday that I was going to visit HillSong today because it has been a long and rough weekend for me. Anyways before I went to church, I spoke to my mother about how stressed I was and to send prays for me and as soon as I go to the church, there was a pray request form waiting for me. I was so happy to be able to send prays through a local church. I learned that local churches and individuals in those local churches connect you to god. I send a pray up for myself, those around me and for everyone in the world. I like to helps other get their pray requests because I love for others to help me as well and DUH it is the right thing to do! Anyways the service was focused on exams today and the whole church prayed over me as well as the other students and it was so powerful, I couldn’t help but cry. I think some of the stress was definitely able to be lifted off of my shoulders a little and I was definitely more confident that Jesus will guide me through this stepping stone in my life I have never felt that I have worked so hard to fall so low in my life. Its crazy and I feel that I have never been this down before that it actually kills me and to think over one class but a 6 credit class where my grade transfer and where this will mean the most for my GPA. I pray for my teacher and TAs for my politics class as well because I am focused on my grade and learning the content while they are tell me I should focus on the content and not the grade. I don’t understand how they are uncorrelated. Any who the church prayed and the serum was about listening before you speak and seeing beyond what the natural eyes show us.
My natural eyes shows me grades that I am displeased with, a school system that stresses me out beyond control, and time is running out. But I know god has a plan for me and I have a plan for myself and that is to become successful by having an impact on lives and in order to get there I have to take one day and one step at a time and god will lead the way to my success. All I have to do is follow it!
So, how I decided that Hill-Song was going to be my Cape Town Church, I also received the good news that a church will open in NYC so, I am honored to go to the church when I go home. I very eager to get involved in a church to learn more about my lord and savior as well as build and develop a stronger relationship with my god. We have all been created for a reason and we all have a purpose in life and I am determined to make mine have a positive impact on the lives of those that follow me.

BEAUTIFUL
So I have this friend name Mandla from my dance class who always gets complimentary tickets to the shows at Baxter Theater. Baxter Theater is like Broadway shows so, it is always nice to go an meet all the high class people as well as dancers from all over Cape Town as well as South Africa. Anyways, the first show we went to was Carmen By Dada, she was absolutely AMAZING, every move was sharp and the choreography was out of this world. It was definitely the first play here that I was able to follow and by far one of the BEST. So today I was invited to go to another show called Beautiful and I am down to go to a show where I don’t have to pay and It is across the street so, I am able to leave when I want. Beautiful was this show where the cast was all unable people. I have yet to see any disable people in Cape Town because apparently, the proper thing to do here is to hide them. Anyways there were death people, multiple s sclerosis, blind, etc. The people were dancing in wheel chairs and saying skits. It was beautiful as the title said it would be. I felt so many emotions because it makes me think about all the things that I complain about and some people are unable to see, walk, hear, or talk and they are fulfilled with life. I also thought about how well the actors and actresses dance and performed despite their disabilities. I am here searching for fulfillment through education and by living life day by day, not realizing how blessed I am to have all my senses and to be able to walk.
Funny what people complain about! There was a quote “I once complained about shoes until I met a man without any feet.” Thinking about this, it makes no sense for people to complain when they have been fortunate enough to make it to another day. But will this stop us from complaining? Think about! I am sure you will be a little more conscious about what you complain about from now on.

Counting your blessings
Let me count some of the Blessings I have:
1. I am in South Africa studying abroad and getting an education under British curriculum and having a winter that is a Spring in the U.S.
2. I am able to wake up every morning and open my eyes with good health and no disabilities
3. I am able to inspire people
4. I am able to afford to take care of myself in another country
5. I am surrounded by people who love me and have my best interest at heart
6. I am blessed to have the trials and tribulations and to have the strength to continue to go on
I can sit here and count my whole 21years of life in blessings, but that still wouldn’t be enough to express of lucky and grateful I am. I use to ask why me? Why have I been treated so good in my life and the people that are struggling are unable to get half as much as me. I feel that in life there are always going to be people more fortunate and less fortunate when you compare yourself and I have been very fortunate in my life. I feel that it is my duty to help as many people as I can-My goal in life is to make an impact that will be able to spread to someone else that will start a trend.
Many people are blessed with a lot of good fortunate, but if you can’t share that good fortune then what is the purpose of having it? When your life has been impacted by something, share it! You may change someone else’s life.
